Terms and conditions

The terms on which you sign up for and take part in the NewAct Musicals workshop and individual singing lessons — enrolment, payment, sessions and withdrawal.

In effect from November 5, 2026 · Version 1.0.0

Last updated: November 5, 2026

In short

  • These terms apply to the musical theatre workshop and to the individual singing lessons.
  • Your child's place in the workshop is confirmed when you sign up through the form on the website.
  • The workshop is for children aged 8 and over; a parent or legal guardian signs a child up. An adult can book individual singing lessons for themselves.
  • You pay through Stripe payment links, sent in the group's WhatsApp group, by the 10th of each month.
  • A missed workshop session can be made up in another group with free places; a session that is not made up is not refunded.
  • An individual singing lesson cancelled at least 48 hours ahead is rescheduled; a later cancellation or a no-show counts as a lesson held.
  • If you withdraw, we refund what you paid within 14 days, minus the sessions that have taken place: those attended and those missed and not made up.
  • If we cancel or move a session, we let you know and arrange a make-up session; if that is not possible, we refund its value.
  • We photograph and film children only with your written consent.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

The NewAct Musicals workshop is run by PIQ SOLUTIONS INNOLABS SRL ("we", "us", "our"), CUI RO44637960, Trade Register number J2022001737222, EUID ROONRC.J2022001737222, with its registered office at Județ Iași, Municipiul Pașcani, Strada Moldovei, Nr. 8, Bloc Z1, Scara B, Etaj 6, Ap. 21, Romania. The workshop takes place at Calea Moșilor, Sector 2, Bucharest.

These terms apply to:

  • your use of the website newactmusicals.com (the "website");
  • signing a child up for, and their taking part in, the NewAct Musicals musical theatre workshop (the "workshop");
  • signing up for, and taking part in, the NewAct Musicals individual singing lessons.

"You" means the parent or legal guardian who signs the child up, or the adult student who books individual singing lessons for themselves. When you sign a child up, you accept these terms on your own behalf and on the child's; when you book lessons for yourself, you accept them on your own behalf.

Other pages cover the rest:

  • the Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, why, and how long we keep it;
  • the Trade marks page describes the marks that appear on the website.

2. The workshop and singing lessons

The musical theatre workshop runs in age groups, in small groups. The groups, days and times are shown under Schedule, and the prices under Pricing. You can read more about the workshop's content and format on the About page, and answers to parents' questions are under Frequently asked questions.

The individual singing lessons and their price are also shown under Pricing. The same terms apply to the workshop and to the individual singing lessons: wherever these terms say "session", read it as including an individual singing lesson.

3. Who can enrol

The workshop is for children and teenagers aged 8 to 17. No stage experience is needed. The individual singing lessons are for both children and adults.

Children. The minimum age is 8, for the workshop and for the individual singing lessons. A parent or legal guardian of the child signs them up. By signing up, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that the details you send us are correct.

Adults. An adult student books individual singing lessons for themselves. By booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 and that the details you send us are correct.

4. Enrolment

  • You sign up through the sign-up form on the website (the "Sign me up" button), hosted by Tally.
  • Signing up through the form confirms your child's place in the chosen group.
  • The number of places in each group is limited.
  • After signing up, you are invited to the group's WhatsApp group, where we send announcements and payment links.

5. Payment

  • You pay online, through Stripe payment links, with the methods shown on the payment page. You enter your card details on Stripe's page; we never receive them.
  • For the monthly pass, the payment link is sent in the group's WhatsApp group at the start of each month.
  • Prices are those shown under Pricing, in Romanian lei (RON).
  • Payment for each month is due by the 10th of that month.

6. Absences and make-up sessions

If your child misses a workshop session, they can make it up in another group that has free places, at any time while they are enrolled. Let us know as early as you can when you know they cannot come.

A missed session that is not made up is not refunded, including when you withdraw (see section 8).

Individual singing lessons. If you cancel an individual singing lesson at least 48 hours ahead, we reschedule it. A later cancellation or a no-show counts as a lesson held.

7. When we cancel or move a session

We announce every schedule change as soon as we can in the group's WhatsApp group. The risk of these changes is ours, not yours:

  • for a session we cancel or move, we arrange a make-up session;
  • if a make-up session is not possible, we refund the value of that session, worked out as in section 8.

8. Withdrawal and refunds

Our rule. You can withdraw your child from the workshop or the singing lessons at any time; as an adult student, you can stop your own lessons at any time. Tell us in writing at newact.musicals@gmail.com. We refund the amount you paid, minus the sessions that have taken place up to the withdrawal. Both the sessions attended and the sessions missed and not made up are deducted.

  • For the monthly pass, one session is worth the monthly price divided by 4. For example, if you paid for a month, your child attended one session, missed one that was not made up, and you then withdraw them, we refund two quarters (half) of the monthly price.
  • An individual singing lesson is worth its price shown under Pricing. A lesson cancelled less than 48 hours ahead, or a no-show, counts as a lesson held (see section 6), so it is deducted too.
  • We make the refund within 14 days of the date you told us you were withdrawing.

Your statutory right of withdrawal. You sign up and pay online, so the contract is concluded at a distance. As a consumer, where Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 on consumer rights applies, you have the statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days, without giving a reason. If you ask for the sessions to start before the 14 days are over and then withdraw, you pay for the sessions that have already taken place.

To withdraw, send us a message at newact.musicals@gmail.com that clearly states you are withdrawing from the contract. You do not have to use a form.

Our rule above applies in addition to this right and never limits your rights under the law.

9. Safety and behaviour

  • Getting your child to the venue and back is your responsibility. At the end, your child leaves only with you or with a person you have named to us in writing. If you are late, your child waits with the instructor for up to 15 minutes; after that, we call you.
  • Your child brings a pair of clean indoor shoes to change into and a notebook.
  • We expect every child to treat the other children, the instructor and the venue with respect. If a child's behaviour is a problem, for example it puts the safety of others at risk, we talk to you first. In serious cases we may end the child's enrolment; we then refund the value of the paid sessions that have not yet taken place.

10. Photos and videos

We photograph and film children, and publish the images (on the website and on social media), only with the written consent of their parent or legal guardian. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to newact.musicals@gmail.com; we then take your child's images down from the website and from our social media pages within 30 days.

The details are in the Privacy Policy.

11. Using the website

You may use the website to find out about the workshop and to sign a child up. You must not:

  • attack, overload or disrupt the website, or try to get around its security measures;
  • copy or scrape the website's content in bulk;
  • send false details through the sign-up form, or someone else's details without their consent;
  • use the website in a way that breaks the law.

12. Intellectual property and trade marks

All rights reserved. The website and its content belong to us or to those who licensed them to us, including the text, photos, videos, illustrations and design.

The name "NewAct Musicals" and the NewAct Musicals logo are trade marks of PIQ SOLUTIONS INNOLABS SRL. The Trade marks page describes them, together with the other marks that appear on the website.

You may, without asking:

  • read the website, link to it and share its pages;
  • quote short passages, with credit to the source.

You must not, without our written permission:

  • copy, change, redistribute or sell the photos, videos or text on the website — least of all images of children;
  • use the NewAct Musicals name or logo in a way that suggests we are involved in, endorse or are associated with something or someone else;
  • use the website's content to train machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models.

To ask for permission, write to newact.musicals@gmail.com.

The texts, songs and scenes children create in the workshop remain theirs: children keep their rights in them. We may perform them in the workshop's shows, and we share them only in the media covered by your consent (the details are in the Privacy Policy).

The website links to services we do not run: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud and Google Maps, as well as the sign-up form (Tally) and the payment pages (Stripe). Their own terms and privacy policies apply there, and we are not responsible for their content.

14. Availability and changes

We may change, pause or temporarily stop parts of the website, for example for maintenance. We do our best to keep it available, but we cannot promise it always will be.

The schedule, groups and prices may change. We let you know at least 30 days in advance, in the group's WhatsApp group and on the website, and a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

15. Liability

During sessions, we take the reasonable care that an activity with children calls for.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, the information on the website is provided as it is, for general information. We are not liable for indirect loss arising from your use of the website.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer living in another European Union country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. As a consumer, you can bring proceedings before the courts where you live, as consumer protection law provides.

If you have a complaint, write to us first at newact.musicals@gmail.com and we will try to resolve it. You can also complain to the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), which also provides information on alternative dispute resolution (SAL). The European Commission lists consumer redress options, including out-of-court dispute resolution bodies by country.

17. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and the version. We announce changes at least 30 days before they apply, in the group's WhatsApp group and on the website, unless the law requires a change to apply sooner. For a period you have already paid for, the version in force on the date you paid applies.

18. Contact

For any question about these terms, enrolment or payment, write to us at newact.musicals@gmail.com.
